Georgia Ella Beauty loves to offer clients a more dramatic enhancement to their natural lashes. Our aftercare advice will provide you with all the information you may need to maintain your lash extensions, and have them last as long as possible whilst keeping your natural lashes healthy.
It's important to know this about lash extensions...
Whether you are a first time lash extension client, or well seasoned with your appointments, it's worth reminding you that lash extensions are a high maintenance treatment. In order to preserve your own lash health, there a many aftercare steps involved.
If, after having lash extensions, and feeling like the aftercare is just a little too much for you, you might like to consider a lash lift with us instead.
Lash Extension Aftercare - Infills

Your natural lash hairs grow and fall out like the rest of the hair on our body.
Because lash extensions are glued to the near root of your lashes, they will also eventually grow and fall out with the natural lash.
Cosmetically, a lash extension infill is required to re-fill any gaps that appear, as your individual lash extensions fall out with the natural lash. But, it is also required to maintain the health of your lashes, as the weight of a lash extension that has grown out too far could make your lashes prematurely fall out - causing damage.
A lash infill is required every 2-3 weeks.
If you are a first time client, please book in an infill for 2 weeks so that I can assess how quickly your lashes grow, and I advise you the best time to book from there.
Book your infills in advance as we get booked up fast!
If you are only having lash extensions for a special occasion, and do not wish to maintain them, please book a removal.
Lash Extension Aftercare Advice
Gently brush your lashes into place daily
Do not apply force when brushing through your lashes
As your lashes start to grow out, avoid brushing the root as you may tug the extensions and cause damage

Cleanse your lashes every day with our lash shampoo
Despite outdated advice, lash extensions need to be washed just like every other part of your body.
Not washing your lash extensions will not extend the life of them, it will cause damage, bacterial issues and mites
Be very gentle when washing, comb through and between the lashes.
Our lash foam cleanser can be used to wash your face and remove makeup also! Our lash shampoo kit is available for everything you'll need to maintain your lashes
Avoid Excessive Heat
The glue bonds may start to break down from excessive heat
If too close to an open flame, your lashes will melt. This includes smoking
Avoid oils and lash growth serums
Lash growth serum will fasten the rate of your lash growth, meaning your extensions will not last as long
Oils may break down the glue bonds

Do not use mascara
It is near impossible to remove mascara and heavy makeup from your lash extensions
Infills on natural lashes when there is leftover mascara will lead to bad retention
Do not curl your lashes
If you cry, wash your lashes
We promise we aren't being insensitive, and we hope you're ok! Wash your lashes as soon as your feeling better to avoid them becoming really uncomfortable
Purchase a 3D sleep mask
This is our number one advice for retention! We have seen a massive visual difference from our clients using this at night.
This should be everything you need to maintain your results! If you would like to book in with Georgia Ella Beauty, please do so here: https://www.georgiaellabeauty.co.uk/book-an-appointment
Outdated advice and rumours about Lash Extensions..
A lot of our clients worry about the outdated advice and discussions surrounding lash extensions that no longer apply. To ease any worries, let's break them down.
Lash extensions damage your lashes
Lash extensions do not inherently damage your lashes.
Of course, like any treatment to exist, if they are applied incorrectly by your practitioner, or you do not follow the aftercare advice, lash extensions can cause damage.
I shouldn't get my lashes wet

Outdated advice tells you do not get your lash extensions wet. This was because it was thought lash glue was effected by water. However the industry, and it's manufactured products are constantly changing, and this is no longer the case.
I strongly advise my clients to wash their lashes every day. The build up of makeup, dirt, dust, and other bacteria will cause permanent damage to your natural lashes, and make infilling your lash extensions impossible.
The image on the right is not a worst case scenario of what your unwashed lashes look like. Without proper daily cleansing, this cannot simply be washed and removed at your lash extension infill. This would require lash extension removal. In this case, we may not offer a new set as lash health is most important to us, and we can see these lashes have not been cared for.
