WHAT ARE OMBRE & COMBINATION BROWS?
Both are types of semi permanent makeup.
OMBRE POWDER BROWS
Ombre brows are often described as powder brows and vice versa, so if you've seen either of these treatment names before they will be the same thing. Ombre brows are created using a machine that the technician works with. I describe the results almost like a soft eyebrow tint, it will provide a wash of colour that lightens as the brow hair comes to the centre of the face.
COMBINATION BROWS
Combination brows consist of two SPMU methods, including machine and handheld work. This is a mix ombre powder brow, and micro blading. From the beginning of the brow there are hair-like strokes, which then transitions to a soft ombre effect in the body and tail of the brow.

"I first went to Georgia for brow tint to figure out what I wanted for my wedding. I loved the initial results and she managed to give me a nicer eyebrow shape as I naturally have slightly downturned eyebrows. Georgia suggested I try SMPU brows as it would be lower maintenance. I was happy with them after the first session but made sure to see if there was anything I wanted to change. Since I went with combination brows I wanted a few more microbladed hairs than we did initially and a slightly darker colour. Georgia was able to fulfiill these requests on my free week top up and I absolutely love them now! HOW LONG DO SPMU BROWS LAST?
Everyone's body is different, so pigment breaks down at different rates.
Typically, you can expect SPMU to last 1-2 years before they are so faded that you want to come back again.
There are 2 types of pigment used in SPMU, depending on the artist's preference. The differences includes retention of pigment.
Georgia Ella Beauty opts for a less long lasting pigment because we feel brow trends change so often that you may wish to restyle in years to come.
Whilst there is no guarantee any pigment will fade 100%, as this depends on the client's body, this is the best option for our clientele.
SHOULD I CHOOSE COMBINATION OR OMBRE BROWS?
This is completely dependant on your needs and requirements, which we can discuss this on the day of your treatment or at a consultation.
Please note - following consultation, we may deem you unsuitable for combination brows. Not every skin is suited to micro-blading, which is a method used in combination brows. There are many reasons for this which we can discuss at consultation or on the day. Any recommendation we make against this will be for you to achieve better and longer lasting results.
Once healed your brows will look beautiful with either option.
WILL MY BROWS LOOK STRONG AND UNNATURAL?
No, once healed you will be left with what could be described as a similar result to a brow tint.
HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
Our clients have said their brows look and feel healed 1-2 weeks post treatment.
However this varies from client to client, and the healing does take up to 4 weeks as per our aftercare.
I WANT A BOLD BROW, IS SPMU A GOOD SOLUTION?
From our own market research, where a client enjoys a bold and sharp brow look, they often find themselves returning time and time again for a top up to achieve the 'freshly done' look. This can lead to over saturation of the brow that eventually leads to a point that no more work can be done without prior removal.
SPMU heals around 50% softer than when freshly done, and then it will continue to fade over time.
So it's worth keeping this in mind.
